Testimonials

"I recently became a client of Robbie's and I am wishing I had known her years ago!

I was so satisfied that she asked me about all of my concerns, goals and lifestyle, and listened.....just took notes, for an hour.  I felt so respected and appreciated as a client.  I didn't feel rushed and I felt like our plan was built around my goals and priorities.

I have learned so much about health and wellness and maintenance of my body. My headaches are virtually gone, after having them daily.  My stomach and digestive problems have disappeared, and I have so much more energy!"

Thanks Robbie!

Vitality (L. vitalis;, pertaining to life, or principle of life)

**Small Bites** John:"How often do you like to fall in love?" Intern:"Whenever I want to lose weight." -Farmer John Peterson, Angelic Organics

Trivia: Did you know "Dog Days" doesn't refer to dogs lying around in the heat? It came from the ancient Greeks and Romans. The Dog Star, Sirius, is prominent in the Big Dipper constellation from late summer through early fall. Sirius was blamed for the sultry heat and seemingly crazy behavior people displayed when they were hot.

It's HOT – really HOT! Every notice how your appetite seems to fade a little when the searing heat and dryness rolls in? As part of the natural ebb and flow we, too, contract a little this time of year. The season of rapid growth is transitioning into fall, the time we gather and nourish. Late summer through fall is a fantastic time of year for a cornucopia of produce! Been on the run all summer? Eating fast food? You may be feeling unhealthy. And, if you're still struggling to shed those unwanted pounds before fall keep in these things in mind: most "diets" don't work because our genetic programming tells us to gain weight for survival. We must take in at least our resting metabolic rate (the amount of calories it takes just to maintain normal function through the day) in calories. Since one pound of fat = 3500 calories, if you want to lose one pound per week (healthy amount), reduce your caloric intake by 500 calories per day. To see changes faster you could run, play tennis, swim, bicycle or hike vigorously uphill for 45 minutes to 1 hour. By all means, please drink plenty of water when active, cool down, and recover with coconut water for electrolyte replacement when necessary. With the best of harvests now in full swing, load up on those vegetables! All calories are not created equal. Whole foods are packed with vital enzymes, fiber and nutrients. Eat high-nutrient, plant-based meals for breakfast and lunch to feel fuller, keep blood sugar stable, get healthier and leaner. Treat yourself to lighter early evening meals (supper was derived from "supplemental"). Adopt these changes consistently - you'll love the way you look and feel!

Variety in vegetables and fruits is the key to better health and weight. Pick out your favorites but try some you haven't tasted before. Great healthy and easy recipes can be found on the internet and natural foods cookbooks and even on our website. Need help? To get started with your personalized weight loss plan, click on the Nutritional Consulting tab on our website. Want weight loss supplements to help speed the process? Go to the NutraMetrix tab on our Home page, call, or inquire at your consultation for professional direction.

Tips: Drink at least half your weight in ounces of water daily. Water will hydrate and flush fat-producing toxins from your body. Eat anchored meals, and avoid snacking, unless you are hypoglycemic. Choose small quality protein snacks. Sprinkling kelp or nori seaweed flakes over salads and soups will add vital minerals to help speed the process. Got picky eaters? Hide it in their ketchup or meal - they won't even know it's there, but their bodies will!
